VAT registration questions
When do I have to register for VAT?
You must register if your VAT-taxable turnover goes over £90,000 in any rolling 12-month period, or if you expect it to go over £90,000 in the next 30 days alone. You normally have 30 days from the end of the month you went over the threshold to register.
Can I register voluntarily?
Yes. Registering below the threshold can make sense if most of your customers are VAT-registered businesses or you have a lot of VAT to reclaim. We'll tell you honestly whether it's worth it.
How long does it take?
We normally submit your application within one working day of receiving your payment and details. HMRC then confirms your registration directly with you — this can take a few weeks.
Do you charge VAT on the £55?
No. MyTaxLead is not VAT registered, so £55 is the full price.
