1. About us
MyTaxLead is the trading name of M A Accounts Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 12356630. Registered office: First Floor Unit D, 83 London Road, Romford, England, RM7 9QD.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration number ZC136946.
2. These terms and your engagement letter
These terms apply to all work we do for you, including services ordered through our website such as VAT registration and company formation.
Before we start ongoing work we send you an engagement letter describing exactly what we will do, what we need from you and what it costs. The engagement letter and these terms together form our agreement. Where they differ, the engagement letter applies.
Information on our website is general guidance and is not advice for your particular circumstances.
3. Our services
We provide accountancy, bookkeeping, tax, payroll and company secretarial services, including annual accounts, Corporation Tax, Self Assessment, VAT and payroll returns, and company formation.
We are not statutory auditors and do not carry out audits. We are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority and do not give investment advice; if you need it, we can refer you to an authorised adviser.
4. Regulation and anti-money laundering
We are supervised for anti-money laundering purposes by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC). We are also registered with Companies House as an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) for identity verification.
The Money Laundering Regulations 2017 require us to verify the identity of our clients, and of the directors and owners of client companies, before we act. We cannot start work until these checks are complete.
We are required by law to report any suspicion of money laundering or terrorist financing to the National Crime Agency, and the law may prevent us from telling you that we have done so.
5. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for giving us complete and accurate information and records in good time, and for telling us promptly about any changes that may affect your tax or accounts.
You remain legally responsible for your own tax returns, accounts and filings. We will ask you to review and approve them before we submit them, and we rely on the information you give us.
Please keep your business and tax records for as long as the law requires.
6. Fees and payment
Our fees are those agreed in your engagement letter or quote. Services ordered online are paid for in advance at the price shown when you order.
Invoices are payable by the date shown on them. We may charge interest on invoices that are paid late, at 3% above the Bank of England base rate, under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. We may also pause work while fees are overdue.
Fees paid to third parties on your behalf, such as the Companies House incorporation fee, are shown separately where they apply.
7. Ending our engagement
You may end our engagement at any time by giving us at least 10 working days' written notice. We may end it by giving you written notice, as set out in your engagement letter, or immediately where the law requires us to stop acting.
Fees for work done up to the date the engagement ends remain payable.
If you are a consumer and you order a service from us online, you may have the right to cancel within 14 days. If you ask us to start work within that period, we may charge for the work already done.
8. Our responsibility to you
We will carry out our work with reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for losses that arise because information you gave us was incomplete, inaccurate or late, or because the law, or the way it is interpreted, changes after our work is completed.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
9. Your data
We handle your personal data in line with UK data protection law. Our Privacy policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights. Our Cookie policy explains the small number of cookies our website uses.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with our service, please tell us. Our Complaints procedure explains how we handle complaints and the timescales we work to.
11. Law and changes to these terms
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies is the one in force when you instruct us, together with your engagement letter.
