1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are essential for a site to work, for example to keep a form secure or keep you signed in. Others track you for analytics or advertising. We only use the first kind.
2. Cookies we use
- Session cookie — keeps our forms secure, keeps you signed in to the client portal while you use it, and, if you arrived through a client's referral link, remembers that referral for the rest of your visit. It is deleted when you close your browser.
- “Remember me” cookie — set only if you tick “Remember me” when signing in to the client portal, so you stay signed in on that device. It is removed when you sign out or when it expires.
- Staff device cookie — used only on our staff sign-in, to remember a trusted device for two-factor login for up to 30 days. Clients and website visitors never receive it.
The client portal also remembers display preferences, such as your chosen theme, in your browser's local storage on your device. This is not shared with anyone.
3. Visitor statistics without cookies
We count visits to our website with our own privacy-friendly tool. It records the page visited, the referring page, the screen width and any campaign tags in the link. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not follow you across other websites.
4. Third-party services
- Google Fonts — our pages load fonts from Google, which receives your IP address to deliver them. We do not ask Google to set cookies.
- Card payments — if you pay by card, our payment provider Stripe may set its own cookies on its payment pages to prevent fraud. Stripe's own policies apply to those cookies.
5. Why there is no cookie banner
UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) does not require consent for cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for. Because those are the only cookies we use, we do not show a cookie banner.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but forms and signing in to the client portal will not work without them.
6. More information
Our Privacy policy explains how we handle your personal data. If we change the cookies we use, we will update this page.
